for 2-3 persons
- Peas 1 cup
- Tofu 100-150 gms
- Onion chopped 1
- Garlic finely chopped 1 tbsp
- Bay leaf 1-2
- Cinnamon 1 stick
- Cumin seeds 1tsp
- Black pepper powder 1 tsp
- Coriander powder 1 tsp
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Heat oil in pan and add whole spices and saute for 10-15 seconds on medium heat.
- Add onion and saute.
- Add garlic when onion turns soft.
- Add chopped green chilli.
- Add dry spices and mix well.
- Add peas and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes on low heat. Add little water.
- Again cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
- When peas are cooked, add tofu.
- Cook well for 4-5 minutes.
- Tofu Matar Munch is ready.
- Serve as snack with juice, buttermilk or any drink.
