TOFU MATAR MUNCH

Ingredients
                                                                                                            for 2-3 persons
  • Peas 1 cup
  • Tofu 100-150 gms
  • Onion chopped 1
  • Garlic finely chopped 1 tbsp
Green Chilli chopped 1 tsp
  • Bay leaf 1-2
  • Cinnamon 1 stick
  • Cumin seeds 1tsp
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method

  • Heat oil in pan and add whole spices and saute for 10-15 seconds on medium heat.
  • Add onion and saute.
  • Add garlic when onion turns soft.
  • Add chopped green chilli.
  • Add dry spices and mix well.
  • Add peas and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add cover and simmer for 8-10 minutes on low heat. Add little water.
  • Again cover and simmer for 5-6 minutes.
  • When peas are cooked, add tofu.
  • Cook well for 4-5 minutes.
  • Tofu Matar Munch is ready.
  • Serve as snack with juice, buttermilk or any drink.
